Secret keys, explained without the jargon

Passwords your app needs, kept hidden even from the people you share it with.

Most apps need a few secrets: an API key, a password, a webhook address. Traditionally these live in a file with a scary name, and get copied around in chat.

In Cohostly they live in one place called Secret keys. Your app can use them. Your teammates can’t see them, even if they can edit the app.

If a key leaks, you replace it once and every app that uses it picks up the new one.
